Today’s News:   Happy Thanksgiving

We had our first snow fall last week, although it was not calling for it when I initially did last weeks newsletter.  This week the temperatures really drop, and we may see some more snow!  What we won’t see is sun.  We knew it couldn’t last for ever.

This week we have our Christmas photos on Saturday from 1p-3p.  We decided the Auditorium would be the best place for this.  I was able to get the tree up, and a few other decorations.  If you haven’t reserved a time for this and would like to, please call the main line and schedule this as soon as possible.

On Thursday we will be eating lunch early at 11am, and dinner will be served at 3pm for the holiday. If residents are going out to celebrate with family, please notify us in advance, so we can make sure the resident is ready to go, and that any medication they may need to go with them are available.  We appreciate the consideration.

Ed Young and his family will be here on Thanksgiving at 3:30p to share their beautiful music with us.

A Thanksgiving Prayer
Oh, God, when I have food help me to remember the hungry; when I have work, help me to remember the jobless; when I have a warm home, help me to remember the homeless; when I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer; and remembering, help me to destroy my complacency and bestir my compassion. Make me concerned enough
to help, by word and deed, those who cry out
for what we take for granted. Amen
