Today’s News: 

Our temperatures were a bit warmer last week than first predicted.  This week we won’t see much sun but we will have decent temperatures.  A few days should hit into the 60’s.  Spring is definitely in the air. 

I had great time putting together the menu this week.  I included some of my favorite Irish dishes, and then hit the internet for some other recipes that looked amazing.    I’m sure some of them will be my new favorites.  Even the desserts have an Irish origin,☘️

Along with St. Patricks’ this week, we celebrate several birthdays.  My baby will be 24 on Wednesday.  It doesn’t seem possible.  Be sure to wish Ethan happy birthday.  He will be our Chef on our first few Irish classics.

Colcannon soup, with egg salad sandwich cookie.

12:30p Bingo

4pm Dinner:

Guinness pork loin or baked cod with garlic mashed potatoes topped with bacon, cheddar and chives, veggie

Dessert: Peanut Butter Sheet cake

11:30am Lunch

Mushroom and Barley soup with Irish Sausage and onion egg pie, cookie

2pm Mass in the Auditorium- Fr Jim

Dessert: Bailys chocolate pudding trifle

Tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich

3:30pm Mary in The Grand Hall (piano dinner music)

Fish and chips or Beef and lentil rice pilaf

Dessert:  Apple crisp cup

Saturday March 22

Chicken noodle soup, sausage and cheese English muffin, cookie

1pm Movie in the Auditorium

Cornbeef and boiled dinner or Guinness braised roast Turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, veggie

Dessert: Chocolate mint dream bars

SUNDAY March 23

10am Mass in the auditorium

11:30 am Lunch

Soup of the day with Rueben sandwich, cookie

4pm Dinner

Pork chops with creamy Irish whiskey sauce or Turkey meatballs in a mushroom and red wine sauce over buttered noodles

Dessert: Custard pie
