Today’s News:

Currently the local weather is calling for a wet warm week.  This has certainly been the theme for this entire summer so far.  Why change now!

We are finishing up our first stage of the memorial walk.  Many residents have already been out testing the track.

We hope to fill the circle with flowers and bushes.  This portion of the project may take some time. We are still working on the design, and of course the materials.  There is an abundance of options right here among our other garden beds.  The issue is the proper time to split and transplant.  Typically fall is the best time for this.  Not the heat of the summer.  In the meantime, there is plenty to do to prepare the space properly.

We have been able to offer Holy Communion here several times a week, for those residents who wish to receive it.  Our Monday and Friday volunteers have been coming for several years and we see that we need to look at others who could fill in when they are unable, or even to pick up on a regular basis.  If anyone is interested in helping out as a Eucharistic Minister, please call us at 517-622-1009 and leave a message for Barbara.  Thank you

Today’s Prayer

Most High and Glorious God, you brought us in a new and intimate relationship with you through your Son, Jesus, with the Holy Eucharist. Let us welcome one another and serve one another with all the kindness, respect, and generosity that Christ showed to us.  Heavenly Father, as we gather in your presence, we ask you for wisdom and guidance. Help us to nurture and support each other in our ministry and bless our work. Amen.
