Today’s News:

If the weather predictions are correct, it will be a beautiful week.  The garden is still producing.  The pumpkins are doing amazingly well.  I planted some giants, and they are beginning to live up to their name.  I have tried to grow giants in the past without much success.  It remains to be seen exactly how big they will get.

My flower garden has done so wonderful this year.  We have been able to enjoy fresh flowers on the tables for weeks.  There are more flowers out in that garden then we can use, so if anyone is interested in picking some for their loved one, feel free to help yourself.  The more we pick, the better they do.

Today’s Prayer

We pray for the power to be gentle; the strength to be forgiving; the patience to be understanding; and the endurance to accept the consequences of holding on to what we believe to be right. May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil and the power of love to overcome hatred.  Help us to devote our whole life and thought and energy to the task of making peace, praying always for the inspiration and the power to fulfill the destiny for which we and all men and women were created. Amen
