There will be more rain this week, which should keep our lawn looking nice and green.  Temperatures will get up in the 80’s at times during the day, and cooling into the 50’s and 60’s in the evenings. All in all, it should be a nice week ahead.

The garden is taking on a transformation, as I take out those things that have finished up, like tomatoes, beans and cucumbers, and added more lettuce and now some fall spinach.

We will be putting in new flooring this month in our main kitchen, and will need to cook out of the memory care kitchen while under construction.  This will begin around the 11thand we hope to finish up by the 20th.  Because we need to empty the kitchen completely of all items, it will be a lengthy project.  We will do our very best to make this as smooth a transition as possible.  We do appreciate your understanding during this time.

This Weeks Prayer

Gracious God, as we come to the end of August and step into a new week, we thank you for your faithfulness.

Lord, help us patiently grow into the place we are meant to be, even when others doubt or oppose us. Give courage and strength to those who are trying something new, and boost with your energy those who start this day exhausted. Remind us that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Guide our thoughts, our words, and our deeds today. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
