Today’s News:  Holy Week

This week’s weather looks to be a bit wet, but temperatures will be holding mostly in the 50’s.  It seems as if spring is really moving along.  The garden has been too wet to do much to get it ready. I do have most of my seeds purchased.  I have tomatoes already started in pots and hope to get more vegetables started over the next week.

We have music Monday afternoon at 1pm with Marty in the Grand Hall.  Wednesday Fr. Jim Eisele will be here at 2pm in the Auditorium for Mass.  Our intention will be for Patrick Wood.  Mary will be here for her usual Friday dinner music, and then again on Saturday with a guest musician.  We will have all other usual activities as scheduled.

As we start holy week we are reminded of Jesus’s capture, torture and crucifixion. We as Christians must see our own faults and failures, and yet Jesus died for us.  We can rejoice this Sunday, the holiest day of the year, as we remember how Jesus triumphed over death, and how we too can be saved.

Todays’ prayer:

Lord, let everything I do in the coming Holy Week be inspired by You.  Help me to remember that nothing is important in my life unless it glorifies You in some way. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day of my life.

Help me to enter fully into your Passion through my Lenten promises and always be reminded that You went to the desert, the garden and the cross for me.

Amen
