Today’s News:

.

Last week started out hot and heavy, but we did see a change mid- week to milder temperatures.  This week should be very nice, with cool temps throughout the week.

We had a nice turn out for our Thursday evening show.  The band and I love performing for you all.

There was such a wonderful donation of flowers last week from Tara Jegla and Liza Spencer.  They really went all out on putting together enough lovely arrangements for our tables, as well as resident rooms. Their thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Some of our residents participated in creating thank you cards on our craft day.  We hope to finish them up this week, so we can let them know how much their hard work meant to us.

If you received a vaccination authorization form via email, and have not yet returned it, we ask that you get those in soon.  If you don’t want the flu vaccine given, please call us to let us know you will be opting out.

This week’s Prayer:

O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the changing of the seasons. As we welcome the autumn months, may the earlier setting of the sun remind us to take time to rest. May the brilliant colors of the leaves remind us of the wonder of your creation. May the steam of our breath in the cool air remind us that it is you who give us the breath of life. May the harvest from the fields remind us of the abundance we have been given and bounty we are to share with others. May the dying of summer’s spirit remind us of your great promise that death is temporary and life is eternal. We praise you for your goodness forever and ever. Amen
