Today’s News:

It appears as if we have more rain headed our way this week.  The garden is doing amazingly well, but so are the weeds.  It has been a real battle trying to keep them down in the garden.  I had mulched the tomatoes, so those have been fine, but the rest of the garden is exhausting.  The north garden was too large to mulch the entire thing.  I may rethink things for next year!

We are all watching the sidewalk progress and looking forward to the completion.  This has been something we have wanted for a while, and seeing it actually happening is very exciting.  I know several residents who are anticipating nice long walks down around the pasture.

Christopher will be out of town this Friday.  Right now, it is calling for nice weather on Friday, so we may take residents outside for a few fun games, like bean bag toss and ring toss in the lower parking lot.    Any volunteers willing to give us a hand with this would be greatly appreciated.  It will be at our usual exercise time of 10:15am.

Today’s Prayer

Dear God, as I begin my day, I ask for your guidance and strength to help me serve others. Please remind me that every person I encounter is created in your image and deserves to be treated with love and respect.

Help me to see the needs of those around me and be willing to step in and help in any way I can. Whether it’s offering a kind word, a listening ear, or a helping hand, please give me the courage and compassion to serve others selflessly.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
